It all started with the September 25th announcement that current Texas State Representative Dwayne Bohac would not seek re-election in November 2020, making Texas House District 138 in West Houston an open seat.
In preparation of forming an exploratory committee for Apostle Claver's run for Texas House District 138, Claver called an activist of the Texas Liberty Campaign to ask her to join the committee. She declined, stating that she was grooming a protege for grassroots activism. Her protege was best friends with Lacey Hull and that they had already started working for the campaign. For her to support the Claver For Texas Campaign would "break the heart" of her protege. This activist is a resident of Willis, Texas.
After constructing the exploratory committee with 46 members, the Claver for Texas Campaign issued THIS press release announcing the committee on October 10, 2019.
One day later on October 11, 2019 the Lacey For Texas campaign issued THIS press release.
Following his exploratory committee announcement, Clavers' team decided to begin purchasing domain names to move to building a website and digital infrastructure. In heading over to GoDaddy for purchase and registration, he discovered two obvious domains had already been purchased: ClaverForTexas.com, and ApostleClaver.com.
Curious about who made the purchases we did a domain registry search and discovered that a "Walter Burke" and completed the transactions.
How odd is it that the Walter Burke registering the two domains provided his residency in Willis, Texas-- the same city as the earlier mentioned Lacey Hull-supporter AND that Burke purchased the domains one day after the press release of Clavers' exploratory committee, October 11, 2019.
A social media search of Walter Burke's "Likes" revealed---guess what---as the image shows, a "Like" of the Lacey Hull for Texas Facebook Fan Page.
Are Burke and the Texas Liberty Campaign activist attached to the Hull campaign?
Legal eagles and long-time political activists know these domain name shenanigans were used during the 2016 Republican Presidential primary races.
Advisers to the Claver campaign have counseled, "Play nice, Claver."
After discovering the mischievous behavior on behalf of the Hull campaign, how should the Claver campaign respond? Rapidly.
