Does Texas Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia still want to "Abolish ICE"? Visa overstay sentenced on child pornography charges

An investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Houston securing a guilty plea from a Mexican man for the receipt and possession of child pornography.

Now Houston, Texas residents must ask themselves; "does Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia really want to Abolish ICE?"

On June 24, 2019 Houston Talk Radio personality Ken Webster posted a video of Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia marching in the Houston PRIDE parade holding a banner that read "Abolish ICE" noting:

From the ICE press release:

"ICE is an organization that stops human trafficking and captures people guilty of heinous crimes, including child pornographers, rapists and murderers, but Sylvia would apparently prefer those people walk free, as she's openly advocating to abolish the institution that arrests a countless number of criminals every year."

Fast forward to October 22, 2019 when both U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement ---that would be ICE----- and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Houston issued dual press releases announcing the guilty plea and sentencing of a non-U.S. citizen on child pornography charges.
"A 54-year-old Mexican man who illegally remained in the United States after his temporary visa had expired was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Tuesday for receiving and possessing child pornography.
This investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Alberto Bernal Garcia, who illegally resided in Houston, Texas, pleaded guilty to the criminal charges April 16. He was sentenced to 10 years each for the receipt and possession convictions, respectively. These sentences will run concurrently.
Garcia legally entered the United States from Mexico on a temporary visa in 1997. However, he overstayed that visa.  Following his release from federal prison, he is expected to face removal proceedings."
Let's see Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia defend her "Abolish ICE" position.

Oh sure, there's virtually no chance Garcia will be ousted come the November 2020 elections. Representing Texas' 29th Congressional District, although it's solid blue President Donald Trump and other America First Congressional candidates within Harris County Republican circles can blast the movement calling to Abolish ICE and point to Garcia as a local example of an elected official supporting a policy protecting child pornographers from deportation.

Political domain name shenanigans emerge in key Texas HD 138 race

Political domain name shenanigans are emerging in a key Harris County, Texas State Rep race that has Houston-area activists asking " Did the Tricky Lacey campaign buy up the Claver for Texas "domain names?

It all started with the September 25th announcement that current Texas State Representative Dwayne Bohac would not seek re-election in November 2020, making Texas House District 138 in West Houston an open seat.

In preparation of forming an exploratory committee for Apostle Claver's run for Texas House District 138, Claver called an activist of the Texas Liberty Campaign to ask her to join the committee.  She declined, stating that she was grooming a protege for grassroots activism.  Her protege was best friends with Lacey Hull and that they had already started working for the campaign.  For her to support the Claver For Texas Campaign would "break the heart" of her protege.  This activist is a resident of Willis, Texas.

After constructing the exploratory committee with 46 members, the Claver for Texas Campaign issued THIS press release announcing the committee on October 10, 2019.

One day later on October 11, 2019 the Lacey For Texas campaign issued THIS press release.

Following his exploratory committee announcement, Clavers' team decided to begin purchasing domain names to move to building a website and digital infrastructure. In heading over to GoDaddy for purchase and registration, he discovered two obvious domains had already been purchased: ClaverForTexas.com, and ApostleClaver.com.

Curious about who made the purchases we did a domain registry search and discovered that a "Walter Burke" and completed the transactions.

How odd is it that the Walter Burke registering the two domains provided his residency in Willis, Texas-- the same city as the earlier mentioned Lacey Hull-supporter AND that Burke purchased the domains one day after the press release of Clavers' exploratory committee, October 11, 2019.

A social media search of Walter Burke's "Likes" revealed---guess what---as the image shows, a "Like" of the Lacey Hull for Texas Facebook Fan Page.

Are Burke and the Texas Liberty Campaign activist attached to the Hull campaign?

Legal eagles and long-time political activists know these domain name shenanigans were used during the 2016 Republican Presidential primary races.

Advisers to the Claver campaign have counseled, "Play nice, Claver."

After discovering the mischievous behavior on behalf of the Hull campaign, how should the Claver campaign respond?  Rapidly.

The equipment will be used to complete fingerprinting for prospective new employees, volunteers, and cleaning personnel.

The acceptance of this grant award comes on the heels of an August 25 news report where the fingerprints of a man taken as part of an employment background check process were used to solve a cold case murder in Brandon, Florida

From Fox News:
"A man linked eight months ago to a Florida 1998 cold case murder ---when he applied for a job requiring his fingerprints for a background check--has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
Todd Barket, 51, of Brandon, Fla., was told his sentence Friday in West Palm Beach after he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of 68-year-old Sondra Better in August 1998. Better was working at Lu Shay's Consignment Store in Delray Beach when she was stabbed and beaten to death during a robbery, investigators said.
Police said they got their big break in the unsolved case this past December when Barket applied for a job that required a fingerprint background check. His fingerprints matched those found on a decorative marble ball at Lu Shay’s, the Palm Beach Post reported. His DNA also matched evidence from the crime scene."

Congressional staffers travel to Ukraine now has link to Florida

A legislative aide to one Florida Congressman was among nine Congressional staffers who traveled to Ukraine on a trip paid for by the firm at the center of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's  impeachment inquiry efforts against President Trump.

Public disclosure records reveal Sarah Miller, Legislative Aide to Florida Congressman Brian Mast, traveled between August 24-August 31, 2019 with eight other Congressional staffers, including California Congressman Adam Schiff's aide Thomas Eager, to Ukraine on a trip paid for by the Atlantic Council Eurasia Center.

The Employee Post Travel Disclosure Form reveals Congressman Mast sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Miller is the "staffer handling all of his Foreign Affairs work".

Interestingly, from a recent screen shot of her LinkedIn page Miller listed her experience as "Fellow" - Atlantic Council" for the period February 2019 to present as part of her profile.

Aside from the Atlantic Council "globe" logo, County Examiner cannot independently confirm Millers current "Fellow" position with the Atlantic Council is the same or is an affiliate of the very same the Atlantic Council that paid for the Ukraine trip.

For now, the impeachment inquiry and gossip-blower complaint against President Trump has a documented connection to Florida.

Stay tuned for more.
