Mexican men claiming to be children caught by Customs and Border Protection

A pregnant woman and two men falsely claiming to be children were among the 13 foreign nationals caught and detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in separate incidents this past week, announced CBP.

According to a news release found here on Tuesday September 3, one of two subjects apprehended in Yuma, AZ initially claimed to be a 17-year-old Guatemalan national, but agents discovered he was actually a 24-year-old Mexican national.
The second subject initially claimed to be a 17-year-old Guatemalan national, but agents discovered he was actually a 24-year-old Mexican national.
The man reported to agents a human smuggler told him to make the fraudulent claim. He was advised representing himself as an unaccompanied child from Guatemala would ensure his release into the United Stated by law enforcement. Both subjects were processed for immigration violations."
On Wednesday September 4 CBP agents located two illegal aliens, one of whom claimed to be 17 years old but later revealed to be 24 years old.
"Yuma Station agents located two subjects west of Avenue B and near County 24th Street. One subject was unconscious and apparently suffering from heat exhaustion. The second subject, also suffering from heat exhaustion, initially claimed to be a 17-year-old juvenile, but through an investigation was determined to be a 24-year-old Mexican national. They were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center by ambulance and treated before released to agents. Both subjects were processed for immigration violations."
Here's the kicker:

"The two 24-year-old men from Mexico in the above incidents were later found to be brothers who were traveling separately.

And today there's THIS press release about three more individuals in Texas arrested for making false statements to acquire a firearm but this time in Laredo.

Guess what? The firearms were allegedly destined for Mexico.

From the U. S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Texas:

LAREDO, Texas – One woman and two men from Laredo are set to appear in court for conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States by knowingly making a false statement in connection with the purchase of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick.
Ivette Julissa Ramirez, 18, Jesus Abraham Ramirez, 24, and David Arnaldo Garcia, 25, are set to make their initial appearances today at 10:00 a.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sam Sheldon.

Federal Court Bars Florida Tax Return Preparer and Her Businesses From Preparing Tax Returns

In 2009 Edwin Rubenstein introduced his new report, “The Earned Income Tax credit and Illegal Immigration: A Study in Fraud, Abuse, and Liberal Activism.” The report documents how abuse is rampant in the collection of fraudulent income tax refunds from the IRS, especially by illegal aliens.

And on Tuesday July 16, 2019 comes this press release from the U.S. Department of Justice:

“A federal court in Miami, Florida permanently barred Georgina Gonzalez and Georgina Gonzalez LLC, Ideal Tax Pros LLC, and Trinity Tax Service LLC, from preparing federal tax returns for others and owning or operating a tax preparation business, the Justice Department announced today. The court also ordered that Gonzalez and Trinity Tax Service LLC disgorge $48,214.30, representing the ill-gotten gains that they received for the preparation of tax returns making false claims.

The government’s complaint alleged that the defendants prepared tax returns that included fraudulent claims for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) based on fabricated income or business expenses. The complaint further alleged that defendants prepared returns for some customers that reported bogus “Household Help” work income, and returns claiming phony business loss deduction so as to falsely maximize their customers’ claim to the EITC. The complaint also alleged that defendants falsely claimed education credits on the tax returns of customers who did not attend college and had no qualifying educational expenses (read the rest here)”
